Buhler Inc. is seeking a highly motivated professional Area Sales Manager– GD (Grinding & Dispersion).
|Duties:||•Analyze markets/opportunities and utilize information to develop sales/marketing strategies that align with corporate goals.|
•Perform hands-on global sales activities from the generation of leads (pioneering, prospecting, profiling) to the development of sales proposals and contracts through to negotiation and closing of the sale.
•Effectively utilize networking within existing customer contacts and during trade or other shows/events to generate leads.
•Work closely with Applications, R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing both in Mahwah, NJ and Buhler headquarter locations to help guide our organization to new markets & new growth areas.
•Establish, maintain, and serve high-level industry relationships from C-level, Buying Center level and down to Plant level contacts.
•Focus on new business development within the target markets/industries.
•Gather and assess market competition/market intelligence and communicate relevant information to the Buhler team as needed.
•Demonstrate leadership ability by influencing a team of technologists, engineers and our internal sales organization to help exploit new opportunities or develop new solutions.
•Determine the optimum mix of products and methods to best penetrate the assigned territory, customers or new business opportunities to achieve the fastest/biggest sales result for Buhler.
•Travel: mainly domestic (North America) and some international locations, including our parent location in Switzerland, is expected to be between 50% - 80%.
|Qualifications:||• B.S. or B.A. degree required with heavy emphasis in technical disciplines or related technical experience. MBA preferred!|
•Able to travel 50-80% (mainly in North America); Some Europe and Asia travel.
•Bilingual in Spanish a plus; Bilingual in German a plus
•Highly refined and optimized time management and organizational skills.
•Relationship management skills continuously used to facilitate initial and repeat sales.
•Ability to work both independently and within a team structure.
•Utilization of highly effective communication, both written and verbal, during all areas of the sales process including meetings, presentations, letters, reports, emails, etc.
•Ability to work with and keep up-to-date Buhler CRM for all customer data, quoting, and other sales management tools as necessary to document and manage territory & assigned key accounts and provide reporting back to direct supervisor and other internal team or Business Unit members as required.
